The final episode of Halo 4 webseries tie-in Forward Unto Dawn is now upon us, and it’s clear it’s been timed perfectly by the people at Microsoft and 343, as it follows yesterday’s lifting of the review embargo (Halo 4 is currently sitting on a Metacritic 90 after 52 reviews) and serves to get us all in the mood for the game’s release in just a few short days.

I won’t say anything about this last episode, other than to again voice my desire for more live-action Halo in the future, and for a massive Halo lore nerd, it’s very gratifying to be able to see the game, the webseries and the books all coming together nicely. I’m currently halfway through the latest novel, Karen Traviss’ ‘The Thursday War’, and Lasky has already appeared, as the Executive Officer of the UNSC Infinity – the massive human warship that plays a big part in Halo 4‘s campaign.

Halo lore fans have long wanted to see the extended universe tied into the games in greater detail, and Halo 4 looks set to do just that. It could be potentially off-putting to newcomers, but this Halo nerd can’t wait.

See the final part of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn below, and remember to set it to 720p.
